Let's not sugar-coat it. Living with and loving a veteran or service member who struggles with PTSD and other invisible wounds can be challenging. Even when your partner is getting support, and your relationship is going well, it's still a unique experience that not everyone understands.
There are several supports out there for individuals experiencing PTSD, but not as many for their loved ones, and yet, we are being impacted. At the VSN we greatly value the spouse or partner's emotional, mental, and physical well-being, and we know this is an issue many within our network face. This group intends to hold a space for real talk for fellow spouses/partners dealing with these challenges with their service members or veterans, as well as discuss personal challenges impacting their relationships or physical/mental health.
This chat will be held monthly, so join when you can (and when you need to) to get the support you deserve. This group will meet on the second Wed of the month (Starting in March) and last Tuesday of the month (scheduled for 1.5 hours) and will be led on a rotation of VSN staff or trained peer leaders to help guide and facilitate the discussion.

To be eligible for this group you must be the spouse or partner of an active-duty service member or post-service veteran. Eligibility varies by session, so please check our Eventbrite page to see other social clubs that may interest you.
