Salvation Army - Denton

The Salvation Army Denton is an emergency night shelter, food pantry, social service center, soup kitchen (KARE Kitchen), and church. Located northeast of The University of North Texas and southeast of Texas Woman's University, The Salvation Army Denton addresses the needs of individuals experiencing homeless and/or food insecurity, and working poor of Denton County.

Our shelter and KARE Kitchen are open 365-days a year regardless of rain, sleet, snow, sunshine, or holiday. We offer free meals to the community twice a day. Breakfast at 6:00 a.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Our food pantry is open twice a week to Denton County residents who are in need of assistance.

Food pantry hours are Wednesdays and Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Social Service Office Hours:Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.mClosed for lunch 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Shelter Hours:Daily 5:00 p.m to 7:00 a.m(Check-in begins at 5:00 p.m.)
