HOW OFTEN CAN I RECEIVE ASSISTANCE FROM COMPASSIONATE TOUCH?Funding is generally awarded on a one-time basis per patient per year. Patients hospitalized at one of the designated Texas area hospitals are eligible to apply for funding, which is awarded in conjunction with a hospital social worker’s assesment of patient needs.
HOW ARE THOSE NEEDS ASSESSED? Demonstration of need is accessed by the Texas area hospital’s social worker who will help determine if you qualify for Compassionate Touch funding.
