Catholic Charities - Women Veterans Program

The Women Veterans Program at Catholic Charities provides housing assistance and supportive services to women veterans and their families. We work with women veterans who are experiencing homelessness or are at imminent risk of becoming homeless.   Eligible veterans are women, 18 and over, who have served active duty and can provide proof of veteran status. In the Houston area, we have an emergency shelter for women veterans and their children. We offer case management and other supportive services onsite. Women veterans in the Fort Bend and Galveston area who are at risk of becoming homeless, we offer case management, assistance with rent, mortgage, transportation, and childcare. Additionally, we provide individual counseling and employment support to our clients.   Our goal is to help women veterans secure and maintain stable housing. We empower our clients by equipping them with the resources and skills needed to achieve their vision of self-sufficiency.
