Volunteer Leadership

Maidelina has been a military spouse for 17 years. Maidelina, her husband, and their three children have been stationed at Fort Hood since 2010. She graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University in 2014 with a BS in psychology, and is currently pursuing an MS in experimental psychology from the same institution. Professionally, she works providing behavioral healthcare to children and adolescents struggling with mental illness and behavioral problems.

Her academic, professional, and personal experience provide Maidelina with a holistic view of how the issues facing military families are being addressed through research and services. She is excited to lend her unique insight to projects that will amplify fellow spouse's voices in military family research and empower their efforts in research advocacy.

Ashley Lunde is originally from El Paso, Texas where she studied social skills and developed her shuffle board talent at the University of Texas at El Paso (Go Miners). After getting serious, she completed an MPA at Park University, Kansas City Campus. During this time, she met her husband, got married, adopted a dog, and moved to Central Texas and is stationed with her husband at Ft. Hood. Ashley is eager to be a part of the Veteran Spouse Network and looks forward to meeting other Veteran spouses and learning about what their needs are. Her spirit animal is Selena Quintanilla.
