Worklife Institute, Texas Veterans Program

VETERANS WORKLIFE TRANSITION

Texas Veterans Transition Program

The end of your military service contract can arrive quicker than you expect. It can catch you off guard emotionally and financially. We know the challenges that you are experiencing and we are here for you! When you walk through our door you won’t find a line to stand in. There are no red />machines to dispense a number, no cubicles, and there are NO FEES.  We offer the hospitality of a caring and experienced staff, a full refrigerator, computers, office equipment, and the comfort of your own work environment.

The Program includes professional career training and development programs, personal and professional development workshops, services to support successful career sustainability, support services for families, and outreach events such as job fairs and hiring events. Worklife Institute’s career development program includes cooperative training programs in SolidWorks technology through GoEngineer and Entrepreneurship training with the University of Texas Pan American Project. We also provide personal and family counseling, legal  and financial advisement, and referral to a number of partner organizations who provide additional services to our veterans.

Whether you are Active Duty, Retired,  Guard or Reserve, our program is designed to help with all aspects of the “re-entry” process. The Institute has more than 25 years’ experience and a wide range of services at our veterans’ disposal. Houston has one of the largest populations in the country of Guard a />nd Reserve personnel, in addition to the many Active Duty veterans who come to Southeast Texas for the job opportunities. We work with the local Guard and Reserve commands to provide their members transition services before, during, and after deployments. When members separate we help them make permanent transition to civilian life. So please stop by! You can also visit the “Contact Us” tab and tell us how we can best serve you.

Our veterans have served our country with honor and distinction. Our mission is to help them achieve a valuable, meaningful career and a satisfying family and civic life.
