Wise Area Relief Mission Inc - Utility Assistance

WARM began in 1998 when the food pantry at Central Church of Christ merged into an outreach for area churches in the Wise County, Texas, area. Combining efforts with local civic organizations, large corporations, small businesses, churches and individuals WARM is a joint civic ecumenical project and is thereby non-denominational. WARM is the largest food pantry in Wise County, Texas, providing food assistance and other services to all Wise County residents in need, without discrimination.

In emergency or extreme situations, WARM can also provide funds directly to an electric, water, natural gas, or propane company in the client's name. This occurs, by appointment, at the beginning of each month; however, you must call toward the end of the month prior to schedule this appointment (for example, call in late September for an October appointment).

WARM serves only residents of Wise County.  It does not have a specific program for veterans, but low-income Wise County residents who are veterans are welcome to apply for assistance.

The first time a client comes to our office they will fill out our application and show proof of Wise County residence. We must update the application at least annually for food.  If the client requests assistance with services other than food, the application must be current within the past six months.
