Center Point's Texas Veterans Program provides outreach, assessment of needs, vocational readiness training, housing assistance, job placement and referrals to job skills training programs for homeless Veterans in the Austin area. Through funding provided by the U.S. Department of Labor at risk Veterans may access an array of services that significantly improve their quality of life.

Texas Center Point Veterans Employment & Housing Services
The goal of the Texas Veterans Reintegration Program is to provide veterans residing in Travis County with the opportunity to gain stable housing, meaningful employment and linkages to needed job training programs and support services. Texas Center Point recognizes that veterans have acquired experience, skills and a solid work ethic through their service and these assets are transferable to the workplace. Individualized vocational interest and aptitude assessments help prepare veterans for re-entry to the community workplace. The Veterans Program provides comprehensive case management services to link veterans with needed resources, assistance with benefits and referrals to health and mental health services.

Preparing for Re-entry Into the Workplace
Texas Center Point Veterans Reintegration Services addresses community reintegration through the provision of the following services:

• Assistance with housing placement
• Vocational assessment
• Pre-employment skills training
• Vocational preparation and job readiness training and workshops
• Linkage to vocational training programs
• Case management and referrals to supportive services
• Resume development
• Job seeking and interviewing skills
• Job placement and follow-up
• Job retention counseling
• Communication skills training

Housing and Employment First!
Texas Center Point’s years of experience in housing assistance services provides a successfulpathway for homeless veterans to obtain affordable housing. Services provide homeless veterans with access to stable housing, vocational preparation, job training and placement, and coordination with needed supportive services. The on-site, one-stop approach to individualized services, offered by staff that are veterans, provides a firm foundation for re-entry to community life. Texas Center Point has developed an expanded and enhanced continuum of services tailored to the needs of those who have served our country.
