Veteran Affairs

Welcome to Prairie View A&M University, home of the Panthers.  The Veterans Services Office is designed to assist current military, veterans, and military dependents transition to the university.  Military affiliated students bring with them a set of non-traditional needs therefore we provide assistance to veterans, dependent family members, and those serving through advocacy support, career development, and academic support resources. The office serves as an information repository along with providing meeting and study spaces.

PVAMU Student Veterans Association (SVA) is associated with the Veteran Services office.  SVA is an affiliate of the national organization, Student Veterans of America founded in 2008.  SVA promotes and creates a military friendly environment on campus by providing students with both benefits information and assisting them with balancing military and civilian life while transitioning to a higher education setting. SVA are “boots on the ground” that assists veterans reintegrate into campus life and succeed.
