Operation Stand Down Central Texas (OSDCT)

MISSION STATEMENT: Operation Stand Down Central Texas (OSDCT) assists the homeless veterans and their families in the surrounding community.

•  Provide immediate relief from the trauma and isolation of homelessness. Create an environment where basic necessities are provided and participants can come together in a safe and relaxed atmosphere.

•  Provide homeless veterans access to short-term resources. Ensure that participants have easy access to basic needs during the event, including shelter, beds, food, showers, clothing and haircuts.

•  Raise community awareness about homelessness (particularly homeless veterans). Encourage participation of elected officials in Stand Down. Increase media coverage and dialogue on homeless veteran issues.

OSDCT was created by individuals that truly want to make an impact in the community and are wanting to make a difference in someone's life who gave so much for this country of ours.  Remember that One Homeless Veteran is One Too Many. OSDCT is all volunteer and all funds received stay in this local area.
