Mustang Mentors for Veterans

What is the Mustang Mentor program?

What is the Mustang Heritage Foundation Veterans Program?

With the help of the Mustang Heritage Foundation, military veteranschoose a BLM mustang, untouched by humans, and transform the horse in approximately 100 days to a gentle, adoptable equine companion. Theveteran experiences the transformation from “wild to mild” within the horse, while learning marketable vocational skills and gaining on-the-job training for a future occupation in the equine industry if they choose. The previously wild horses are adopted by the veteran participant or placed into new homes.--What's next?Mustang Heritage Foundation is seeking veterans to participate in the next session starting March 1st 2016.  Prior horse experience is recommended, but not necessary.   Those wishing to participate in the MHF veterans program who have no horse experience are encouraged to enroll in the R.O.C.K. Horses for Heroes program. Please contact Byron Hogan for more information, byron@mustangheritagefoundation.org or 512-869-3225
