VETERANS SERVICES PROGRAM

 

Mission: To provide outreach to veterans and their families through confidential peer support groups, direct access to appropriate trauma, mental health, addiction and other veteran support services.

Outreach Services

The Veterans Services Program provides coordination and service provision to male and female veterans within a 30 county service area. The program establishes and enhances the availability of veteran peer-to-peer counseling, provides peer support services, and provides linkage for veterans to vital community partners. All services are confidential.

Cost of Services:

  • This program is provided at no cost to veterans or their families; services are funded through a Texas Department of Health Services grant.

     

Services Include:

  • Transportation available in the Amarillo/Canyon to and from Peer Support Groups
  • Peer Support Groups are led by trained veterans
  • Free, certified training available to veterans and their family members who want to volunteer and lead their own peer support groups.
