Georgetown Field of Honor

The Field of Honor® is a dramatic, emotion-filled display of full-size, 3′ x 5′ US flags, each purchased in honor of a veteran, active or reserve duty military individual, a first responder, or personal hero of your choice. This tribute exemplifies the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self,” and inspires patriotism and love of our country’s flag. The events held throughout the week are open to the public beginning the Sunday prior to Veterans Day! Check the SCHEDULE page frequently to see the events, times, and specific information as they are planned.

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Georgetown, TX, and presented by Don Hewlett Chevrolet Buick, in cooperation with the City of Georgetown, TX, the Field of Honor® is a  Central Texas event that is exclusively licensed through the Colonial Flag Foundation. www.healingfield.org

The proceeds from the Field of Honor® benefit veteran and first responder organizations through flag purchases, donations, sponsorships, and on-site purchases during the event. The Rotary Club of Georgetown Foundation is a 501c3 organization. Veteran and First Responder beneficiaries are determined annually by the Rotary Club of Georgetown Board of Directors following the close of the Field of Honor®. Some of the net proceeds also help support the many Rotary Club of Georgetown projects that serve our community, such as ramp builds, scholarships, leadership and character development programs for kids, and literacy efforts.

Beneficiaries from the 2017 Field of Honor® and Patriots Ball were as follows:

R.O.C.K. (Ride on Center for Kids) – Funding was provided for 15 children of veterans to attend this years’ Camp Courage, an equestrian camp to help overcome issues related to family military life.

TADSAW (Train a Dog, Save a Warrior) – Funding was provided to help train service dogs for veterans with PTSD and other needs.
