Catholic Charities of Fort Worth - Supportive Services for Veterans Families

The Veteran Services program promotes housing stability among veteran families who reside in Tarrant, Denton, and Wichita Counties. It focuses on low-income veterans who are either homeless or at imminent risk of losing permanent housing.

For eligible households, Catholic Charities will provide case management, help in obtaining both public and veterans benefits, connections to other community services like employment, and rent and utility assistance.  The program will assist veterans with all discharge statuses except dishonorable.

To qualify for services, families must have household income that is 50% or less of the area median income, adjusted for family size and location ($34,500 for a family of four in Tarrant County, for example).  They must also be able to document that they are homeless (such as a letter from a shelter) or facing eviction (such as an eviction notice).

In addition, applicants must have a DD 214, picture ID, Social Security cards for all household members, and income verification for the past 30 days.
