About this Event
The Veteran's Symposium hosted by Emergence Health Network’s Military Veteran Peer Network and Veterans One Stop, is an amazing event that is geared towards our local service members, veterans, and their families. With this being our 7th Annual Symposium we have only gotten that much better. This is a great networking opportunity and we will have education services, employment resources, health and human services, mental health resources, peer support services, just to name a few. There will be 40 vendors available to visit!
This year we are excited to have three guest speakers:
Ms. Joplin whose life was deeply impacted by our first ever Veterans Symposium.
Ms. Shoshana Johnson who is retired from the Army. She was the first female POW of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the first black female POW in United States War History.
They will be talking about the different type of resources available and how it may have helped them.
Key Note Speaker:
Honorable Sergeant Major of The Army Kenneth Preston. He retired as the longest serving SMA serving from 2004-2011. He also served as the Army Chief of Staff's personal adviser on all Soldier and family-related matters
