Winston Churchill, noted Statesman and orator, and the first person to be made an Honorary Citizen of the United States, once said, "You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give."
Those who choose to volunteer their time and resources to meaningful causes will be the very first to express how rich they became as a result of their sacrifice. As you've no doubt heard before, we tend to get out of things what we put into them and that applies to every investment we make in life. The more we invest, the greater its meaning will grow.
TexVet focuses on Texas Veterans, which includes the full gambit of the Veteran family-- from active military to retired-- to any and all Texas Veterans who honorably or have honorably served this country in the United States military.
How can an organization meet all of the needs of those it serves? TexVet is only able to accomplish its mission because of organizations that partner in this effort and because of our volunteers-- those individuals who give of their time and energy and talents to lift others up.
Volunteers are not paid not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless. TexVet invites you to become a priceless volunteer, to stand beside us, to use your talents, whatever they may be, to help lift up and serve Texas Veterans. Whether it's on the phone, at a computer, at an event, researching the Internet, filing, sharpening pencils, or holding a banner, you will walk away richer because you participated in a worthwhile endeavor-- that of serving Veterans because they served you.
