Korean War Veterans - Texas Lone Star Chapter

The following Creed has been adopted by the Texas Lone Star Chapter of the Korean War Veterans to express our beliefs and purpose. This Creed shall be read to those present at the beginning of all business meetings of the regular membership of the Chapter and at any other time that the members, officers or directors deem appropriate.

"We, the members of the Texas Lone Star Chapter of the Korean War Veterans, are the living representatives of the 54,246 members of the Armed Forces of the United States serving worldwide who gave their lives in the period of 25 June 1950 thru 31 January 1955.And, as members, we are dedicated to also represent the 300 or more known American Prisoners of War that were never returned after the war, and the more than 8,000 American Service Personnel still listed as Missing in Action in the Korean War.

OUR PURPOSE

1. to motivate patriotism amongst the American People and to raise their awareness of the Korean War and those who served in it.2. to raise and contribute funds for the establishment of a Texas Korean War Veterans Memorial Monument in Austin, Texas Project completed-16 April 19993. to seek and find the truth about the 300 or more known American Prisoners of War that were never returned after the war.4. to seek and find the truth about the over 8,000 Americans that are still listed as Missing in Action in the Korean War.5. to render help and support to the over 103,000 wounded and disabled American Veterans
