The Honored Service Scholarship

The Honored Service Scholarship will be offered to Texas Military Veterans who qualify under Chapter 31 as disabled veterans who enroll at Texas A&M University. Twenty five students will each receive a $3000 scholarship for one year. The scholarships will be awarded annually to qualifying students. The awards will be over and above the normal Department of Veteran Affairs stipulated costs for college course enrollment. It is intended to provide assistance with living expenses, beyond the VA’s coverage of tuition and fees, books and supplies, and a monthly stipend. Criteria: Chapter 31 Disabled Veterans Non-competitive Scholarship $3000 scholarship for 1 year Veteran needs to be registered at Texas A&M University No specific GPA needed.

**If funds could not be utilized from the above criteria, scholarships can be given to veterans who receive Chapter 30 or Chapter 1606 benefits. The Veteran is required to have an Incoming Freshmen Scholarship Application (OA) or Continuing Student Scholarship Application (AE) on file.
