Texas A&M Group for Returning Veterans - 5:30 pm in College Station

This is a support group for student veterans who are returning from the military, deployment, or to college. It is open to all veterans enrolled at Texas A&M. The group provides support, understanding, and suggestions to help students deal with the readjustment challenges unique to returning veterans. You MUST be an A&M student. 

WHO:  Veterans , spouses and family. Also general public.

WHAT:  Veterans Legal Clinic - Wichita Falls

WHEN:  Thursdays, 5:30pm until 8:00pm

WHY:  Free legal clinic.  All civil.  For example - Wills, Bankruptcy, Homeless, General.

HOW:  No appointment required.  Bring all documents related to your case.

WHERE:  Martin Luther King Center, 1100 Smith Street in Wichita Falls


G.I. Jargon is a Veteran-led, open support group for Veterans of all generations.

We cover a new topic every week, and any veteran is welcome to attend this session. This is a chance for veterans to sit down with other veterans to discuss their transition, experiences in combat, and issues that veterans face when they come home.

State of the Veteran Family - 9:00 am in Austin

The Veteran Spouse Network and The University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work, are proud to present The State of the Family Veteran Symposium. This event will feature expert speakers and panelists who will present on issues facing veteran families in Texas. Topics will include employment, higher education, marital health, mental health and children's wellness.
